Nottingham Express Transit (NET) are proposing to extend the existing tram system (Line One) by adding another route from Nottingham to a new park-and-ride site close to Bardill's roundabout. The route will pass through the heart of Beeston and Chilwell.

B.C.B.R.A are a locally formed association made up of business people and residents of Beeston and Chilwell who believe the people of Beeston and Chilwell would be adversely affected by the trams if NET's proposal is accepted and therefore are opposed to the trams running through Beeston and Chilwell.
