Broxtowe Borough Council - Full Council Meeting

We are expecting that Broxtowe Borough Council will make a response to the TWAO and planning applications and therefore expect that many members will be interested in attending this meeting. We have informed Broxtowe Borough Council that we have informed members about the meeting and that we expect a good turnout. We have also asked them to provide better facilities for people to hear what is happening in the council chamber. This is a 'spectate only' meeting and BCBRA members are expected to behave in an orderly and quiet manner.

BCBRA would like to inform its members about the following meeting concerning Broxtowe Borough Council and their response to the TWAO and planning applications.

Meeting : Broxtowe Borough Council – Full Council Meeting

Date : 27th June 2007, Time 7:00pm – Meet outside at 6:30pm

Venue : Broxtowe Town Hall, Foster Avenue, Beeston

“A proposal will be put to Councillors concerning a response to the publication of the Transport and Works Act Order. It is likely to recommend a holding objection be made, and the debate is likely to cover, at least, the grounds for making such objection. As far as the Council meeting is concerned, I would advise you that it is impossible to predict exactly what the debate on the tram will cover - this is essentially a matter for members.” – Ruth Hyde (Chief Executive Officer).
